New Series (Hokkenshitsu)

by suimasenscans

Arrrgh, ye scurvy dogs!

Well, we’ve picked up a new manga by Yasu. As to be expected, it’s a story about cute girls doing cute things, in ways that can get a little weird. It will be appearing weekly in Young Ace, and assuming we can get a steady flow of raws and scripts, we should be able to keep on top of this one, since the typesetting work is fairly simple.

The story, assuming there is one, follows a group of girls who happen to find themselves in the school infirmary quite often. Mix a little of their own weirdness with the weirdness of the teacher in charge of the infirmary, and well, it’s probably an accident waiting to happen.

This week, Eyepatch-tan starts filming an introduction video for the infirmary, only to find she spent 130,000 yen for nothing…

Coming soon, we’ll have a one-shot that also appeared in this month’s Young Ace, and GT’s rumored to be working on something of interest to the Aki fans. Will he ever finish it? Stay tuned!

  1. 保健室 – hokenshitsu means ‘school infirmary’ aka the nurse’s office. Not sure whassup wit dat double k, but I’m betting LOLHOKKAIDO…

  2. Sly, I explained that in the script. It’s a pun, deriving from Hokenshitsu and the expression “ho” (often spelled as ほっ, hence the double-k), that’s used when you feel relieved. That’s why the English title is “Feel relieved in a nurse’s office”.
Oh and btw, Young Ace is a monthly magazine and published on the 9th of every month. So expect the next script on October 9th (or 1 or 2 days later if I forget to go to the bookstore since it’s not a conbini-magazine).
