Daylight Savings Season Is Over (SZS 189, 211, 222, 223)

by suimasenscans

The only thing not getting frostier these days is Matoi's stare.

Well, as daylight savings wraps up here in the States, perhaps we can remember back earlier in the summer when daylight savings was actually useful. July days last forever (especially when you’re above 50N), but August just seems to lack that something special. Class 2-F seems to have pinpointed the reason: with August comes the growing realization that the school year is just around the corner. To solve this problem, they simply add some daylight savings to July – the entire month of August! As it turns out, daylight savings has a large number of uses – not all of them useless!

With the end of daylight savings time comes something else: the prospect of winter. The snow’s already falling in droves in some places, but the huge snowfalls that some locales have seen are okay – those snowstorms have been taken refuge in audacity. So what if the power’s out for a couple of days? At least the roads are closed and everyone’s safely indoors! Class 2-F deals with this seeming paradox in a familiar situation. And a not so familiar situation. Will Zetsumei-sensei’s perfect virus destroy the world?

And finally, a promise we’ve been making for a long time, but are only now starting to deliver: the transfer of old mag raws over to higher-quality tank raws.

More progress on this front is in the offing.
