Attempting to Fail (SZS 280, 281)

by suimasenscans

I believe this is doing it wrong.

Well, here’s the chapters I promised the other night. I actually finished the bulk of typesetting these Wednesday night, but they needed a little TLC that wasn’t available until this afternoon. It’s kind of a good thing that I had to wait for both to be finished before I could do this post, as they kind of segue into each other.

We all think back on the past and wonder what could have been. That’s human nature, and it comes more naturally to some of us than others. However, in a universe where time travel is possible (as SZS seems to be), this can be a problem. What happens when you use this power to go back in time and commit petty crimes? Chiri naturally gets irritated at the very thought, and bad things happen.

Some of us only attempt to do things, not intending to get any further than the act of attempting itself. Suicide seems to be one of these things, where people doing suicide attempts are only doing suicide attempts, not actual suicide. Sensei seems to be one of those people. After yet another failed suicide, Matoi tries to do it right, but it seems Sensei’s luck/skill hold. A discussion of other things meant to be attempted but not completed ensues, and Chiri gets all chirichiri about it.

I’m gonna attempt to get some RL stuff sorted out this weekend, so there probably won’t be any new SZS stuff until Tuesday or Wednesday. Stay tuned for some KK or Azazel-san, though (hopefully)

  1. You guys are amazing scanlating machines.

    • If only I could eliminate the need to sleep, and perhaps any academic involvement so that I could scanlate 24/7.

Oh wait, I’m already doing that >_>

At this point, I’m ready to drop dead from exhaustion, and I *really* need to stop procrastinating on applying for grad school, so it’s really likely that all I’ll be posting on the blog between now and Christmas is the weekly SZS chapter.
